Abstract
Absorbing almost all global trends, migration processes in the Central Asia (CA) region have their own characteristics and specifics. The most visible flows are labor migration, forced migration, frontier migration and transit migration and repatriation. An important trend is return migration within the region. Migrants from Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as from other countries of the world, finding themselves in difficult living conditions, or for other reasons, voluntarily return to their countries of origin. Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Program (AVRR), supported by the International Organization for Migration, is an important potentially significant mechanism for the return and reintegration of migrants in the region.
