New reform of our higher education: «digitalization» and professorship

The article discusses the philosophical and social aspects of new initiatives in the field of higher education in Russia to replace traditional lectures with on-line lectures. In conditions when the result of «digitalization» of education is not yet clear, its goals and even the fact that it is socially other than using computers instead of books, it is proposed to abandon the resultant teaching methods in favor of using new information and communication technologies. By themselves, any technology, incl. digital, do not carry any value content. They are filled with social and political activity of people. In this regard, the problems of Russian higher education need to be more clearly defined as social, political, philosophical, so that any technology will then be determined the place necessary and appropriate to solve them. Education, in accordance with current legal documents, has the goal of training a specialist and education a member of society. The proposed replacement of textbooks with online courses does not explain why students who do not read textbooks will start watching and studying video recordings. At the same time, the upbringing of a person who is able to learn independently, regardless of the medium in which the knowledge is recorded, this is the goal of work of the academic with students at the university.
