Abstract

The article analyzes the features of the demographic development of the Far Eastern regions of Russia in 2000–2017. The reduction of the population in regions of Far Eastern Federal District is a serious barrier to the implementation of projects of socio-economic development. The paper shows that in conditions when the internal resources of population mobility are practically exhausted, international migration is the only source for replenishing the labor potential of the regions of the Far East. The features of Vietnamese labor migration in the regions of Russia are analyzed.
