Abstract

The most common natural disasters on Earth are floods, storms, tsunamis and earthquakes. About 30 thousand people perishes only from earthquakes in the world annually. Floods cause serious damage to the economy of the countries and lead to numerous victims among the population. Mankind, unfortunately, have not learned to withstand the elements. But it is important to understand the risks that are a natural disaster to learn how to minimize losses. There is an attempt to analyze the natural risks for the coastal areas of South-East Asia, associated with floods, storms, tsunamis and earthquakes in this article.
