Abstract

The article deals with the problem of liberal reforms in Russia, in particular, describes the features of the economic crisis over the past twenty-five years. The author expresses the view of the essence, the nature and effectiveness of the social transformations. The conclusion of the limitations and possibilities of the chosen liberal model of economic development is justified. The data from the sociological monitoring «How are you, Russia?» on the attitudes of citizens to the internal politics of the Russian state and the current priorities in the foreign policy are adduced. Finally, the recommendations to the attention of state authorities are formulated. Тhe potential of civil society in Russia is examined.
