Abstract
The article discusses the features of social attitudes in Moscow. Representative surveys form the basis of the analysis. It is considered that authorities need to take into account negative trends in well-being took place in 2008–2015 period. Authors posed that social attitudes experienced current influences of international and local social-political changes as well as crisis developments in economy. The growth of trust to Russian president and other power institutions have been accompanied with criticism of political system. According to nearly half of respondent's there is lack of proper compliance with such democratic norms as the equality of citizens before the law, respect for human rights, social guarantees, and citizen's security. The peculiarities of social situation in Moscow are analyzed within the context of social tensions and protest orientations.
