The role of sociological research in identifying violations of intellectual property rights

In article influence of applied sociology in the field of studying of prob­lems in the field of protection of intellectual property is considered. The role of sociological researches in identification of the facts of violation of the intellectual rights, dis­closure of dynamics, tendencies and prospects in the field of protection of results of in­tellectual activity is considered. Ways of carrying out sociological researches are ana­lyzed. The most widespread ways of violation of copyright and falsification of trade­ marks are defined. Ways of protection and protection of intellectual property on the basis of the received results of empirical sociological researches are described.
