Abstract

EurAsEC uses the international practice of phased implementation of integration processes: from a free trade zone through the Customs Union to the Common Economic Space and, in the long term, to the Eurasian Economic Union. These tasks are being successfully fulfilled - the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia started its work on 1 January 2010, it became fully operational on 1 July 2011, the Common Economic Space starts functioning on 1 January 2012. Integration processes are systematically leading the EurAsEC states to create a common market similar to the European Union, where their combined natural, economic and human potential will be used more effectively to improve the well-being of their populations.
